Phase 2 of project to improve city’s sewer system begins Monday, Oct. 23

The city of Nampa will begin construction of Phase 2 of a project to improve sanitary sewer connections between the West Regional Lift Station and the Nampa Treatment Plant on Monday, Oct. 23. The project will install a sewer force main along West Karcher Road. The majority of the work will occur on Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) property. There will be minor traffic impacts to West Karcher Road crossings. Access to business in the area will remain open.

Construction will take approximately five months. Crews will complete work on the West Karcher Road section of the project in about six weeks then move to the UPRR portion of the project. Construction will cost $2.1 million. The contractor is Blue Sky Construction.
